Cairngorms Commonplace Book Drop In

Join us for an informal drop in event to create your piece for the Commonplace Book and meet the Artists in Residence behind the project.

We're creating a Commonplace Book for the Cairngorms in 2023 out of submissions from anyone who wants to write down, photograph or draw something of this place that they’d like to share with others.

Commonplace Books capture a place in time and we're inviting everyone with a connection to this area to contribute one A4 sheet of paper (one or two sides) so we can collectively create a snapshot of the Cairngorms Connect landscape in 2023.

Join us for an informal drop in event to create or finish your contribution to the book. We'll have computers, printers, scanners, and some art supplies for you to use, and Artists in Residence Elizabeth Reeder and Amanda Thomson will be on hand to lend their support and answer any questions while you make your submission.

When: Friday, 8th of December, drop in anytime between 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Where: Aviemore Library (what3words: ///suave.thumps.diagram)

Cost: Free! No need to register, but you can RSVP on Facebook to let us know that you'll pop in!

The deadline for submissions is the 31st of December 2023.

It is important that all people have equal access to Cairngorms Connect events.

We are happy to provide for your requirements at all our events wherever possible eg. BSL interpreters, off-road wheelchairs, adapted bikes etc. If have any accessibility requirements, please get in touch.
