Landscape Creatives

A Creative Summer School with Cairngorms Connect

An opportunity for local S1-S3s (for the 2024-25 year) interested in art, creativity and this amazing landscape.

Landscape Creatives is an opportunity for local young people to explore art and creativity through different landscapes, habitats and species. Based at Badaguish Outdoor Centre and working outdoors as much as possible through a series of workshops, we’ll create and reflect on the wellbeing and positive futures of landscapes we’re all part of.

Free to attend and you don’t need any special skills, just a keen interest in these things:

  • Exploring and learning about nature in creative ways, including choreography, film-making and drawing.
  • Meeting other young people with similar interests.
  • Being involved in an artist-led film-making project about young people in the Cairngorms.

The school sessions will run:

  • Monday 14th July 9am-3.30pm
  • Tuesday 15th July 2pm-9pm
  • Wednesday 16th July 11am-3.30pm
  • Thursday 17th July 9am-3.30pm.

We are asking young people interested in taking part to complete a short expression of interest form. If this event is over-subscribed, we will prioritise participants who are not already involved in activities in the National Park.

Expression of interest form.

Deadline for expressions of interest: Wednesday 25th June 2025. We’ll be in touch to confirm places week commencing 30th June 2025.   For more information contact enquire@cairngormsconnect.org.uk
